African Games 2023: Egypt maintain lead as Nigeria, South Africa make top 10

Egypt currently dominate the medal ranking table of the ongoing All African Games in Ghana.
As of Wednesday morning, Egypt were still leading the medal standings through their impressive performances across various events, notably table tennis, wrestling, and swimming.
The North Africans clinched top honours in both the men’s and women’s categories, cementing their place at the summit of the medal table.

They maintain the number one position with a total of 165 medals (92 gold, 40 silver and 33 bronze) so far.
Behind Egypt is Nigeria, which is in second place with 85 medals (31 gold, 22 silver, and 32 bronze).
Nigeria, South Africa, Algeria and Tunisia are the countries that make up the top five.
The host nation Ghana are in sixth position on the medal standings.
Mauritius, Eritrea, Morocco and Ethiopia complete the top 10 in the list so far.
